I bought the 4 man and it is the best tent I've ever owned. Excellent air circulation and keeps cool if it is in shade. My only complaint is that the polls have broken several times at the joints. It has torn the fly in two places. One pole is currently about five inches shorter now and the other is about three inches shorter now.

I do believe that the 4 man tent is considerably higher than the 3 man, therefore the polls are longer and considerably weaker in the wind. I reinforced the female ends and now it shouldn't happen again. Eventually I will replace with a 3 man mountain ultra.

Its an okay tent. There is good room inside the tent, and upon my first weekend of use, we had some extended downpour and on and off rain and the tent stayed dry the entire weekend. My gripes are these: Door and vestibule seem undersized. I have a 2 person tent that has a bigger entrance and a larger vestibule. I feel like the entrances should be on the other sides of the tent with a large vestibule. The footprint is fairly small for a 4 person tent, maybe that's why they chose to have the smaller doors/vestibules. I also am not a fan of the zippers. They aren't very smooth compared to several of my other tents. Seems like they went cheap here to get the lower price point. It does come with 10 stakes and plenty of chord which is nice. If you are a weekend warrior that camps 2-3 times a year, this would probably suit your needs just fine. If you camp frequently and need this size tent, I would recommend a more expensive tent from one of the more renowned brands. Also, it fits a queen size mattress with plenty of room for gear, and if you're short you can damn near stand up in it, but overall, i purchased because of the good reviews, and I am not sure how everyone has given it 5 stars, when it is not a 5 star tent. Not trying to hate on the brand either, I have their 0 degree sleeping bag and it has been phenomenal, with no complaints.

Amazing value for the money paid. This was tested on Mount Sunapee during the July 4th, 2023 holiday. Two days of torrential downpour, and no issues with any water getting into the tent that wasn't my own fault. Excellent ventilation in a super high humidity environment with zero condensation issues.

Two reasons for the 4 out of 5 star review.

1) The footprint accessory suggests that there is a need for it. It is also not included with the tent.

2) Not able to get my Teton XXL cot into this tent even though measurements suggest it should be possible. A thought for a possible Mountain Ultra-6; full support for being able to use all models of Teton cots inside it.

We've had this tent sitting outside in our yard to test its abilities before our big trip, and so far so good! There have been some heavy thunderstorms. Windy and heavy rain conditions the past week and no leaks. The ventilation is decent when all closed up, but be aware of the heat and humidity. I mean it comes when tenting and backpacking! The vents are really helpful and nice. If it's not downpouring, even opening up one side of the tent is extremely helpful. If it's shady and not rainy, taking off the whole canvas is so cool! The openness of it is a lifesaver, the mesh is tight and perfect. No bugs have gotten in, and our dog loves it. We have an 80 pound GSD so we got the 4-person tent and it fits my husband, the dog, and me comfortably. I would say they run smaller in size if you want to be comfy. I don't know if I'd want to fit 4 adults in this tent. Very easy to set up. So far so good, and we will see how it goes in the long run.

Four years ago Memorial Day my family and I got soaked in a heavy rain storm and I swore I’d never have that happen again. I bought a 2 and 4 person mountain ultra tent after reading the reviews. Last night we had a really bad storm blow through and it rained really hard for about 4 hours with some really heavy wind gusts. All of us stayed dry and I’m really happy with our purchases.
